grumpy’s normally grumpy
whenever i’ve seen her
always right before or after
a nap or being sick

but this time she was
well and rested
chatty and friendly

she shared her fruit loops
while teaching me their colors
and gave hugs at the beginning
and end of the visit

she keeps this up and
grumpy’s gonna need
a new nickname
